Bulk Premium Dried Red Tart Cherries (3 LBS)
Enjoy flavorful Premium Dried Grade A Red Tart Cherries dried with our exclusive all-natural process!
Health Benefits
Cherries are naturally full of vitamins and minerals needed for a healthy diet, and rich in antioxidants. Studies have shown that tart cherries also have the ability to improve sleep, possibly due to their natural melatonin and tryptophan (an amino acid) content.
History
Cherries are native to modern-day Turkey and China. The greeks were the first to cultivate cherries and the Romans later expanded upon this, spreading them throughout their empire, introducing cherry trees to Britain in the first century. Cherries were eventually brought to North America by Spanish missionaries in the 1600s and later other early European settlers brought cherry seeds and trees with them. By the 1800s, they were established on the West Coast in Washington, Oregon, and California. Today, Michigan is the number one producer of red tart cherries in the United States.
Our Dried Tart Cherries are the perfect balance of sweet and tangy and are delicious with breakfast cereal, pancakes & waffles, oatmeal, salads, trail mix, yogurt, baked goods and more.
